Students with biology, engineering, and optics background are particularly encouraged to apply. No previous research experience is required.

 

Postdoc: One opening for highly qualified and motivated individuals at the post-doctoral level in the department of Bioengineering at UIUC to work on inter-disciplinary research related to the molecular imaging of live cells in response to engineered surface and mechanical stimulation with infrared laser-tweezers. Applicants must have obtained a Ph.D. in engineering, materials, bioengineering, biophysics, or related field. Applicants with micro/nano fabrication, optics, and imaging backgrounds are highly desirable. Start date is anticipated to be winter 2005 or spring 2006.
